Southcoast properties share a set of conditions we plan for on every job: southwest exposure off Buzzards Bay, salt spray, low and wet lots near the harbors and marshes, and storm surge. That means plantings chosen for salt and wind, stone set on drained bases, retaining walls with drainage behind them, and grading that moves water away from the house. Work near wetlands or a coastal bank usually needs Conservation Commission approval, which we build into the schedule from the start.
