The project

What we built on Cape Cod.

An estate-scale landscape organized around two broad, level lawns. Stone retaining walls with built-in steps hold the change in grade between the lawns, and clipped hedges define the edges.

Gravel paths connect the houses, the drive and the lower garden, and the lawns are kept level and well drained so the property can host large gatherings.
